SUPERSTAR Female Impersonator FRANK MARINO Receives Star Treatment Like a fine wine, Frank Marino has aged gracefully, full of color, flavor, and zest. It's been twenty years since the legendary "La Cage" first opened at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in 1985. Skeptic casino owners first booked the show for only a three-month run, but between business mogul "La Cage" producer Norbert Aleman and a determined twenty year old, Marino; they both knew this was just the beginning. Marino claims that even as a small child, growing up in New York, he always knew he'd become a star. What he didn't realize was that he'd have to be dressed in drag, draped in Bob Mackie gowns, to do so.

He admits, "Climbing the ladder of success was even harder wearing high heels." Never at a loss for words, Marino is an accomplished author, newscaster, columnist, spokesperson, and America's favorite male actress. His first book, "His Majesty, the Queen" sold more than 500,000 copies and Marino's latest project "Miss Congeniality 2 Armed and Fabulous" is being released March 25, 2005. Marino stars alongside Sandra Bullock and this is one of his most exciting accomplishments to date. February 1, 2005 was proclaimed "Frank Marino Day" by Mayor Oscar Goodman and the name Frank Marino was forever immortalized in stone when the Las Vegas Walk of Fame honored him with the second star in the neon forest. The expression is show "business", the last word is no accident and Marino is definitely a businessman. It's because he's such a good businessman that he recently signed a ten year, ten million dollar contract to continue his reign as the longest running headliner in Las Vegas. This also allows him to keep his tite of the "Queen of the Strip" for at least another decade. It is said that when tourists visit Las Vegas, there are three things they come for; gambling, a trip to Hoover Dam, and a chance to see Frank Marino perform in the award winning "La Cage" at the Riviera. "La Cage" can be seen nightly at 7:30 pm except Tuesdays. For more information, call the Riviera Box Office at (702) 794-9433 or click on www.frankmarino.com. |
